Our Heavy Duty Grip Strut offers a few distinct advantages over traditional Grip Strut; one advantage being load capacity. The Heavy Duty Grip Strut is designed with steel that is 9, 10 and 11 ga. thickness or aluminum that is 1/150 in. thickness. The added steel or aluminum per bar adds a considerable amount of structural sturdiness to the overall design and decreases the load bearing capacity on each individual weld. The second advantage of the Heavy Duty Grip Strut is the increased length/span of any given plank grating. Planks can span longer distances unsupported due to the added strength of the structure. Plank widths come in combinations from 9¼”-36” wide which is perfect for tight spaces as well as large walkways.
The Heavy Duty Grip Strut can be configured for single-plank grating applications, double-plank applications as well as large-area platforms. The same color finishes and custom applications are available for the Heavy Duty Grip Strut as the Standard Grip Strut.
High-Strength to Weight Ratio– Efficient Grating Design Can Handel High Load Capacity with Low Dead Weight.
Slip-Resistant Surface– Diamond Shaped Serrated Grating or Non-Serrated Grating Teeth Grip Shoes Evenly Creating Added Traction Within a Small Surface Area.
Open Sluice Design –Angular Tread Design Allows Dirt, Debris or Liquid Runoff to Penetrate through the Grating.
Serrated Edges- Serrated or Non-Serrated Edges Allow For Minimal Impact on Machinery and Equipment in Any Work Environment.
OSHA Compliant Handrails– Handrail Bracket Attachments are Available and are Simple to Install.
Ease of Installation– Splice Plates Allow for Speedy Assembly or Disassembly to Meet Changing Conditions without Welding.
